SOUTH KINGSTOWN — Chief Steven Pinch of the Union Fire District of South Kingstown reports that crews responded to a house fire last night in the Peace Dale neighborhood of town.
At approximately 6:20 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 11, Union Fire District was dispatched to a home on Kersey Road for the report of a structure fire. Upon arrival, firefighters found that the second floor and attic of the home were on fire.
Crews worked quickly to extinguish the fire. Multiple units responded, including E1, E3, E10, E14, E18, E21, Ladder 1 Unit 9, and Chiefs 2, 3 and 5.
No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
“Our crews worked quickly and effectively to extinguish this fire and we are grateful that no occupants of the home were hurt as a result,” Chief Pinch said. “This incident required response from multiple vehicles and we were on scene within minutes to offer aid.”
