Union Fire District Command Staff Takes Part in Special Olympics Torch Run

SOUTH KINGSTOWN — Members of Union Fire District Command Staff, along with their family members, were honored to participate in this year’s Special Olympics torch run. 

UFD Command Staff was joined by members of the South Kingstown and Narragansett Police Departments as part of the event, held June 4.

The Law Enforcement Torch Run is the largest grassroots fundraiser for the Special Olympics. In Rhode Island, almost every city and town participates to help raise funds for the more than 3,400 athletes who participate in Special Olympics statewide.
